Hello, my name is Breanna but everyone calls me Bre. I am the mother to 2 young boys. Two years ago in November our family lost our mom to a year long battle with leukemia, the rock of our family. My younger brother still lived at home and when our mom was given her 8 weeks left of life, she asked if I would be okay inheriting her house, the place that all our family get togethers were, the place that holds all our memories as a family. But with that came her dogs and she told me I had to allow my brother to stay still, which I said absolutely as this is our childhood home. While our mom was sick, her sliding glass door had to stop being used as it was becoming harder and harder to open and shut. We blocked the door so it was unable to be used. We lost her november 24th 2023, just 3 days after thanksgiving and fast forward to this fall, as we still have not been able to use the sliding glass door in the dining room and we realized the sliding glass door had a hole that the wood had rotten around the door frame, there was a hole to the outside from inside. We got it patched up with what we can for the time being until finances are better to look into getting the door replaced. But with my 72 year old father also staying with us for now as the heater in his camper home went out a few weeks before Christmas. Our family would be beyond grateful for this christmas miracle to keep our mom/nana’s house in good shape and for many more years of family get togethers to remember her. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you for the chance to have such an amazing opportunity. 💛💛
In June of 2025 my life took a drastic turn when I inherited my family home. There is significant fire damage from February of 2023. We have been living in a small trailer adjacent to our once full hone,. I doing the work as I can while raising my daughters. My brother is my best friend, the one I go to when the world spins; without him life has been just too much. I stepped away from my job as a Program Supervisor for a worldwide corporation because I can’t keep the worry from running down my face or interrupting my thoughts. I took a very low offer on my house in Duluth as tax forfeiture loomed, once I have it empty it will be just enough for roofing materials and wiring. My daughters won’t see me fail nor will they suffer due to my choices. It is with honor and respect to the original craftsman in 1980 that she be restored under my watch. I came to the Superior Glass site to price out a bay window for the house and felt compelled to leave my story. I could really use a step back up. I’m sorry if this is scattered, the memories are running down my cheeks this new years eve.
My Son and Family inherited a old Farmhouse when his Wife’s Grandfather passed away several years ago. They sold their home in the Village of Superior and sunk everything into some major repairs that needed to be done so they could move in. They stayed in a camper with 3 boys at the house while doing repairs. They accomplished a lot but several things were put on hold. They needed a different bathroom the small one that they have is in need of repair so the plan was to convert a office into a bathroom and that bathroom into a pantry. They bought a lot of the supplies a couple years ago and they are just sitting there. Life has got in the way with finances along with Him working 40+ hours a week and being on call 24/7 for plowing and emergencies. He also needs the knowledge to complete this project along with figuring out the pipes needed. They also have a back porch which is the main entrance used that is in bad shape and has a broken window between porch and kitchen that is boarded up. I can get a picture if needed.

She is disabled and is raising her 2 disabled adult sons and has always been a single mom. She’s a great person and has been on the waiting list for 20 years for weatherization program to help. She lives in a mobile home in superior on belknap number 14 trailer . Her furnace has been repaired three times and they have to go turn it back on all the time. They use heating blankets and electric heaters. She is so deserving! Please help her !! I don’t have photos but can get them ..
